Mom Sent This is especially passionate about making it easier for families separated by borders. International students and foreign exchange students living in the United States can receive a package packed and shipped right here in the U.S., while their families order from home.

Meet the Mom Behind Mom Sent This

Hi, I’m Jasmin-a mom, wife, TV host, and the person behind Mom Sent This. The idea for Mom Sent This came from something very personal to our family.

Our family has had the incredible experience of welcoming exchange students into our lives, and they quickly became so much more than students staying in our home. They became family. But there was something I noticed that always bothered me. Their parents were thousands of miles away, and while they wanted to surprise their kids with the same little things I could easily buy for mine-a favorite snack, a birthday surprise, something they needed, or just a gift to say “I’m thinking about you”-it wasn't always easy. Ordering from U.S. websites could be difficult. Shipping internationally was expensive and complicated. Some stores wouldn't accept their payment methods or made purchasing from another country frustrating. So often, their parents simply couldn't send the little surprises they wanted to send.

And I kept thinking...

There should be an easier way.

A way for a mom in Brazil, Spain, Germany, or anywhere in the world, to choose something special for her child living in the United States without having to figure out international shipping, customs, or where to shop. And then I realized this wasn't only an international-student problem. College parents everywhere know the feeling of wanting to send a little piece of home when their child is away.

So I created Mom Sent This.
